In view of these incidents of Banke Bihari temple, the UP government has proposed Rs 150 crore for the construction and land acquisition in the budget of the financial year 2025-26. Construction of the corridor is proposed in an area of 7000 plus square meters, which will include 5 major routes around the temple. However, after the announcement of the Banke Bihari Temple Corridor, local residents and service families have opposed it. They believe that the removal of their old houses and shops in this corridor will end the ancient streets of Vrindavan.
