After this, the BJP -led coalition NDA declared Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as the candidate. At the same time, the opposition nominated former Justice B Sudarshan Reddy of the Supreme Court. Radhakrishnan belongs to Tamil Nadu and Reddy belongs to Andhra Pradesh.
