The Siddaramaiah government of Karnataka is going to change the name of Shivajinagar Metro Station in Bangalore. CM Siddaramaiah has said that his government will consider renaming the name of Shivajinagar Metro Station in Bangalore after a request made during the annual festival at St. Mary Basilica.

With this announcement, a dispute arose in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has condemned this. He said, “I condemn the Karnataka government’s move to change the name of Shivajinagar Metro Station in Bangalore in the name of St. Mary. This is an insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Congress has continued its tradition of insulting the Maratha warrior king since the time of Nehru, who commented against Shivaji Maharaj in his book Discovery of India. ”

Give goodwill to Siddaramaiah- CM

Defending CM Siddaramaiah’s statement, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said that we have just discussed this. I think there is a request. There is nothing wrong in requesting. We will consider this.

Devendra Fadnavis targeted on opposition

Fadnavis said that he prays to God that Siddaramaiah should be goodworthy not to take such decisions against the Maratha warrior king.

In India too, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the level of opposition has fallen on the comments of some opposition leaders regarding turbulent situations like Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He said, “You can criticize the programs and policies of the government, but not the society and the country.”
