Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh can get a big post in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The annual general meeting of BCCI (BCCI AGM 2025) is going to be held on 28 September, for which the Punjab Cricket Association has declared Harbhajan Singh as its representative. According to The Indian Express, Harbhajan Singh will be part of this meeting. Earlier, the Cricket Association of Bengal, Sourav Ganguly has been declared its representative. September 28 is the day when BCCI elections are to be held, in which a new appointment to the post of president is also to be done.

Harbhajan Singh was earlier appointed as an advisor to the Punjab Cricket Association. This will be the first time that he will be seen as a representative of the State Cricket Association. Notices have been sent to all state cricket associations that the last date to declare their respective representatives will be September 12.

At the same time, the Election Officer has extended the last date to apply from September 20 to September 21. If a candidate wants, he can withdraw his name by 23 September and the elections will be held on 28 September. The final of the Asia Cup 2025 is also to be played on the same day. In the meeting to be held on September 28, a decision is to be taken on the posts of Chairman, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer.

Karnataka State Cricket Association has made Raghuram Bhatt, Mumbai Cricket Association its representative. Former IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal from Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association and Rajiv Shukla from Uttar Pradesh will be present in this annual general meeting.

Recently, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s name was being linked to the post of BCCI President. Those speculations had gained a lot of vigor that Sachin could be elected the next BCCI President, but recently his company ‘SRT Support Management’ made it clear that there has been no discussion about Sachin Tendulkar getting the post of BCCI President and all this is a lie.
