Sri Lanka has started perfect in the Asia Cup tournament. The first match of the Sri Lankan team was with Bangladesh (SL vs Ban Asia Cup), in which its bowlers did not give any run in the first 2 overs. Throwing a maiden over for a bowler in T20 is a big challenge in itself, but the team throw 2 maiden overs continuously, then wow! Wow! It is made. This feat has been done by Nuwan Tushara and Hostel Chamera of Sri Lanka. In fact, there are a total of 6 bowlers in T20 Asia Cup history so far, who have taken wickets in the powerplay overs as well as taking wickets.
Two overs, zero runs and 2 wickets
Tanjid Hasan Tamim and Parvez Hussain Imon started the innings for Bangladesh team. Nuwan came to over the first over, who is known for action like his Lasith Malinga. In front of Tushara, Tanjid Hasan continued to beat and became clean bold on the last ball of the first over. No run came in this over.
The second over came to Hostel Chamera, in front of whom Parvez Hussain was. There was no run on the first 3 balls and on the fourth ball, the ball took the edge of Parvez’s bat and turned to the hands of Kusal Mendis. Mendis made no mistake in catching the catch. The second over was also Medan. Bangladesh could not score any runs in the first 2 overs and lost two wickets.
