Russia’s drones have now infiltrated the airspace of Romania after Poland. Romania said on Saturday (September 13, 2025) that it is a member country of the NATO group whose Russia has recently carried out the infiltration activity in the airspace. In response to this infiltration, Romania immediately launched two of its F-16 fighter aircraft, so that drones could be monitored and tracking during the Russian attack on the structures of the neighboring country Ukraine.
Romania’s Defense Ministry spokesman Ionat Mosteneu said Romania’s fighter jets saw Russian drones flying over the village of Chilia Vache in the Romanian area and were followed until they completely disappeared from the radar.
Poland also deployed helicopters and aircraft along with Romania
At the same time, when drones of Russia were seen falling in the area near Poland border, Poland along with Romania also deployed helicopters and aircraft on Saturday (September 13, 2025). Poland had extended its air defense alert to the highest level, although the alert was removed later on the same day. At the same time, Poland Prime Minister Donald Tusk stressed this and said that it is very important to maintain vigil.
Why Poland increased so much vigil,
In fact, the vigilance in Poland was increased, when the report of about 20 drones of Russia entered the Poland airspace between Tuesday and Wednesday (9-10 September 2025). However, Russia has completely refused to target NATO countries, but still Poland and its allies are on high alert.
Jailonsky condemns the intrusion of Russian drone
Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky condemned the drone infiltration. With this, Jailonsky warned that Russia is deliberately increasing its drone operations. He said, ‘Today Romania deployed a fighter aircraft due to the presence of Russian drones in its airspace.
