Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra and Neha Dhupia have expressed their happiness over the historic victory at the Amy Award of British actor Owen Cooper. Both actresses shared the moment of winning Owen Cooper’s award on their Instagram stories and expressed pride with the joyful emoji.
The youngest winner of Amy Award
Owen Cooper has become the youngest winner in TV history by winning the Amy Award at the age of just 15 years. Earlier this record was in 1973 in the name of 16 -year -old Scott Jacobi.
The 77th Primatime Amy Awards were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. In this category, Owen left behind veteran artists like Oscar winner Xavier Bardem and Peter SARS Guard.

On his victory, Owen said that this award is not only for him but the result of the hard work of the entire team. Three years ago I was nothing, and now I am standing on this platform. If you try with hard work and get out of your limits, then anything is possible in life.
Owen Cooper received this honor for the role of 15 -year -old Jamie Miller played in Netflix’s famous minisris ‘Adolasense’. In this series, Owen plays a teenager who is facing a murder charge. This role was very sensitive and challenging, which Owen won the hearts of not only the audience but also the critic. This series was written by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorn together.
Owen’s life
Born in Warington, England, Owen’s childhood was spent in a common family. His mother is a caretaker and father works in the IT sector. Owen started with Manchester’s drama school ‘The Drama Mob’, where he took training in acting. In the initial stages he wanted to become a footballer, but luck brought him in front of the camera.

The casting process of ‘Adolasense’ was also special. Stephen Graham was looking for a new North England face for this role. Owen was selected from the auditions of about 500 children, and this selection proved that talent is not fascinated by age. Apart from the Amy Award for this series, Owen also received honors at the Gotham TV Award and Estra TV Awards.
Talking about the workfront, Owen appeared in May 2025 in Sam Fender’s music video ‘Little Bitty Closure’. Now he will be seen in the role of young Heathcliff in BBC Three’s upcoming project ‘Club’ and Emerald Fennel’s film ‘Wudoring Heights’.
