A total of 1180 posts are included in this recruitment. Of these, 1055 posts have been set for Directorate of Education and 125 posts have been set for New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC).

To apply for this post, the candidate should pass 12th with at least 50 percent marks from the recognized board. Apart from this, the candidate should have a degree of DLED (Diploma in Elementary Education). Also, it is important to pass CTET examination. Those who do not have a valid certificate of CTET will not be able to apply.

The maximum age limit for this recruitment has been fixed at 30 years. However, reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, women and disabled candidates will be given exemption in the maximum age limit as per the rules of the government.

Candidates of general (general) category will have to deposit Rs 100 in the form of application fee. Whereas women candidates, candidates of SC, ST and Divyang class will not have to pay any fee. Candidates will be selected completely on merit basis. After examining the written examination and documents, the final list of selected candidates will be released.

Selected candidates will be given attractive salary. DSSSB has fixed the pay scale for the post of Assistant Teacher from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month. This salary will be given according to the 7th Pay Commission.
