In Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, 71 Maoists have surrendered to the security forces, out of which 30 were declared a reward of Rs 64 lakh on Naxalites. Regarding the surrender of the Maoists, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the government with ‘double engine’ is committed to eliminating Naxalism by 31 March 2026 and is committed to providing respectable rehabilitation and better life to the Maoists who surrendered.
71 Naxalites have surrendered after being impressed by the ‘Lone Varratu’ (come back home) in Bastar division and the ‘Loan Vratu’ (come back home) in Dantewada district.
A total of 71 Maoists are also included in 21 women. The 17 -year -old boy, 16 and 17 -year -old minor girls are also among the surrender. Among the Maoists who surrendered, a reward of eight-eight lakh rupees was declared in platoon number two in platoon number two and a member of the company number one Manki alias Sameela Mandavi (20).
Attack on police and other serious allegations
Janmilisia Commander Shamila alias Somli Kavali (25), Area Committee members Gangi alias Rohni Barse (25), Santosh Mandavi (30) and Deve alias Kavita Madvi (25) had a reward of five lakh rupees. A reward of Rs 3 lakh was declared on a Maoist who surrendered, Rs 2-2 lakh on 6 Maoists, Rs 1 lakh on 9 Maoists and Rs 50-50 thousand on 8 Maoists.
The police team is accused of attacking the police team, arson and many other Naxalite incidents against the surrendered Maoists.
What did the female Maoist tell?
Shamila, one of the surrender female Maoists, said that she was active in the organization since 2009 and decided to leave it due to the increasing pressure of security forces and constant anti -Naxal operations.
Shamila said that her husband Mallesh is currently active as Maoist commander in the northern region of Bastar. She was recently active as a Janamilisia Commander in the Maoists’ Indravati region committee and was part of the Maoist squad involved in an encounter with security personnel in the region in the last few months.
Children were not allowed to do
Shamila said, “While working in the organization, I got married to Mallesh. We do not have children because it is not allowed while working in the organization. Now I am happy that I will be able to live a normal life. ”She got the last time in January last year from her husband. She wrote a letter to her husband to leave the organization, but received no response from her.
Shamila said, “I want to ask him to surrender to surrender to make us live a normal and happy life.”

Chief Minister Sai wrote in a post on ‘X’, “The darkness of Naxalism is being trimmed, Dantewada is changing. Our government’s new surrender and rehabilitation policy 2025 and Nayed Nella Nar Yojana has aroused new faith in Bastar zone including Dantewada. People wandering with false slogans of Maoist violence are now choosing the path of development and peace.
