The new proposal introduced by the US President Donald Trump for a ceasefire in Gaza has been appreciated by eight billion and Muslim -dominated countries including India, China, Russia. Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Tuesday (30 September 2025) that the decision to send the Army to help ‘Shanti Sena’ in Gaza will take the top leadership of Pakistan. He said that Palestine Law Enforcement Agency will work at the ground level.
What happened between Trump and Muslim country leaders?
Ishaq Dar told about Trump’s meeting with Muslim leaders on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) last week. He said that in this meeting, leaders from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Turki and Indonesia spoke to the end of the Gaza-Israel war with Trump.
‘Israel’s occupation of West Bank should be stopped’
He said that the representatives of Pakistan went to America for two objectives. One was related to the activities of the United Nations General Assembly, while the other was to work closely with like -minded countries to end the war in Gaza.
He said, “The purpose of the meeting with Trump was to try a ceasefire in Gaza, plan to rebuild Gaza, arrange to send humanitarian aid in Gaza, to prevent forcible displacement of Palestinians, arrange for the return of displaced people from Gaza and to stop the West Bank efforts to capture the West Bank.”
Will Pakistan deploy its army in Gaza?
Will Pakistan deploy any soldier in Gaza under the 20-Cutra Scheme? In response to this question, Ishaq Dar said, “Our view is that there should be an independent Palestinian government of technocrats. It will be looked after by an international monitoring body, which will also have mostly Palestinians. Tony Blair is trying in this regard. They have not got success yet, but they can get an opportunity now.”
Ishaq Dar said, “The force stationed there is Shanti Sena. There will be Palestine Law Enforcement Agencies at the ground level. There will be separate armies supporting them. Indonesia has offered 20,000 soldiers for this. I am sure that the leadership of Pakistan will also take a decision on it.”
