Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Badaun, Aditya Yadav, on Sunday, targeted the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and said that it is trying to win by making the UP Assembly elections of 2027 a Hindu versus Muslim and dividing the society on communal and caste grounds.
Yadav, while addressing reporters after participating in the ‘PDA Yatra’ (backward, Dalit and minority) in Gunnore area of Sambhal district, said, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants the election of 2027 to become a Hindu-Muslim contest.”
“BJP is diverting people’s focus by Hindu-Muslim”
He insisted that the SP will not be distracted by it and will remain on the issues of development and social justice. Aditya Yadav said, “BJP wants to distract the attention of people from real issues by making every election a Hindu versus Muslim, but we will not be distracted by it. SP will continue to raise the voice of backward classes, Dalits and minorities.
Target without naming BJP
Without naming the BJP, he said, “Those who discriminate on the basis of caste and religion should be taught a lesson in 2027. The time has come to oust these dishonest people from power. ”
“Government targeting minorities and backward”
Commenting on the recent bulldozer’s action on madrasas in Sambhal, Yadav alleged that the government was deliberately targeting minorities and backward classes to divert attention from the original issues. He said, “Such action is an attempt to crush the constitution and make some communities backward.”
On the issue of stopping SP leaders from meeting the victims in Bareilly, Yadav said, “The government is strangling the opposition from meeting the victims. Wherever injustice will happen, the SP will stand with the victims.
“Azam Khan will never leave SP and politics”
When asked about senior SP leader Azam Khan, Yadav said, “Azam Khan is one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party and he has tirelessly tried to strengthen it.” He will never leave SP or politics. ”
