India is going to take a big step towards strengthening the Air Force. Ministry of Defense Ministry will meet Russian officials this week. According to media reports, there will be talks on joint construction or direct purchase of 5 additional S-400 air defense systems from Russia to increase India’s long distance defense capabilities.
According to reports, this deal will be cleared before Vladimir Putin’s annual summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before coming to India on 5 December.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, both sides have already agreed to the cost of additional 5 systems with an annual increase from the price of 2018. There are reports that 3 out of 5 systems will be purchased directly. Apart from this, the rest will be constructed under technology transfer by companies of Indian private sector.
According to the report, people aware of the case told on the condition of anonymity that this deal will be between the government from the government. In this, facilities for maintenance, repair and overhaul will be established in collaboration with the Indian private sector. He further said that the news of buying the S-500 system towards India is wrong. The reason for this is that such a system is still under consideration in Russia.
India will get 2 and S-400 systems by 2026
From Russia, 2 S-400 air defense systems, which are part of the 2018 deal, will reach India by the end of 2026. India and Russia are talking about buying 5 more air defense systems, which can protect India’s 7 thousand kilometers long coastline.
India can also buy missiles from Russia
India is also searching for the air-to-air missile and RVV-BD from Russia to make the SU-30mki fleet even more powerful. The reason for this is that Pakistan is also using a PL 15 air -to -air missile with 200 km of China -made 200 km.
