As soon as the complaint is received, a team from the Agriculture Department will come to inspect your farm, prepare a panchnama of crop loss and send the sample to the lab for testing.

What action will be taken against the shopkeepers?
If in the investigation it is proved that the seeds or fertilizers were actually fake or sub-standard i.e. of poor quality. So action will be taken against the shopkeeper and company selling fertilizers and seeds. The administration immediately takes strict action under the Pesticide Act and Seed Control Order. First of all, the license of that shop is suspended or canceled forever.
Apart from this, a heavy fine is imposed on the guilty shopkeeper and in case of fraud, an FIR can be lodged and he can be sent to jail. Not only this, the legal process is also started through the Agriculture Department to provide compensation for the loss suffered by the victim farmer. So that the farmer’s cost can be recovered.
