A climber died on Monday (October 6, 2025) due to an icy storm on Tibetan slopes of Mount Everest. Local officials said that other 137 climbers trapped have been rescued. Along with this, the search for missing climbers is also going on.

The report by news agency Xinhua quoted local authorities as saying that 41 -year -old climbers died due to problems related to hypotharamia and excessive height. According to the report, 137 climbers stranded due to frequent snowfall in the North Western Kingi province have been evacuated to safe places so far and their condition is stable.

More than 100 people left for Laohugou on Killian mountain

During the eight -day national holiday starting from October 1, 2025, more than 100 people fond of walking left for Laohugou region. Laohugau region located on Killian mountain has received frequent snowfall during the holidays. Its average height is more than 4,000 meters and the terrain is complex.

More than 1,000 tourist climbers are feared trapped

Earlier, the government CCTV had said that 350 people have been rescued, while 200 people are still missing. On Sunday (October 5, 2025), a BBC report said that more than 1,000 tourists were trapped on the world’s highest peak Mount Everest slopes in the Karma Valley located towards China.

Hurricane Matmo knocked in South China

Meanwhile, Hurricane Matmo knocked on Sunday (October 5) on the eastern coast of Shuwen County in Jhanjiang city of Gwangdong province of South China. Local governments brought about 3,47,000 people from Gwangdong and Southern Provinces to safe places.
