Assembly elections will start 2025 in Bihar from November 6. All the leaders including Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav and Prashant Kishore have started preparing. Bihar elections will be completed in two phases. At the same time, counting of votes will start on 14 November. There are many stories related to election which very few people know. An interesting anecdote is about the first assembly elections of India, which took place in 1951-52.

In fact, in 1951-52, Dhamdaha and Kodha of Bihar were jointly called 111-Dhamdaha cum Koda Assembly constituency. Earlier, two MLAs were elected from here. Therefore, in the 1952 election, Lakshmi Narayan Sudhanshu and Bhola Paswan Shastri won elections on Congress ticket. There were a total of 87,744 voters in the region. Bhola Paswan got 26,588 votes and Lakshmi Narayan got 26,453 votes.

Apart from Lakshmi Narayan Sudhanshu and Bhola Paswan Shastri, some more candidates also stood in this election. Jagroop Mandal, Narsingh and Kumar Ramprakash took part from different parties. Jagroop Mandal was a candidate of Socialist Party.

Bhola Paswan holds the post of Chief Minister three times

Bhola Paswan Shastri was one of the veteran leaders of Bihar. After becoming an MLA, he traveled to the Chief Minister. He became CM for the first time in 1968, but his tenure was only 100 days. After this, he became the Chief Minister again in 1969. His tenure was just 13 days this time. He got a chance to become the Chief Minister in 1971 for the third time. He held the post of CM for about 7 months this time.

Significantly, he was born on 21 September 1914 in Purnia, Bihar. Mahatma Gandhi had a profound influence on him during the freedom struggle.

When will Bihar assembly elections be held this time

This time Bihar assembly elections will be completed in two phases. The first phase will be on 6 November, while the second phase will be on 11 November. If we talk about counting, then it will be on 14 November.
