Waqf amendment bill 2024: The Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 has been passed from both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha Houses. Congress and other opposition parties have criticized the central government for this bill. He says that this law is against Muslims. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also surrounded the government on this issue. He wrote in a post on the social media platform X (first Twitter) that this law is still targeting Muslims, but can also affect the rest of the communities in future.
Rahul Gandhi attacked the government
Rahul Gandhi wrote in his post, “I had already said that the Waqf Bill can make a way to target not only Muslims, but also the rest of the religions. Now the RSS has started focusing on the Christian community as well. At such a time we have only our constitution which can save us from such attacks, and it is our responsibility to save us.” Earlier too, Rahul Gandhi criticized this bill in another post. He had said that this bill is an attempt to weaken Muslims and take away their property and religious rights. This is a direct attack on the Constitution and the rights of religious freedom given in it (Article 25).
“This bill against India’s unity and democracy”
The Congress leader said that the Congress strongly opposed this law as it is against the unity and democracy of India. If you want, I can adapt it to small points or also for social media. Let us know that many opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi are trying to surround the government at this time and are telling this bill against Muslims. At the same time, the government believes that the poor and backward people will be able to get justice and their rights will not be taken away from them.
