The US Senate has appointed Sergio Gore as the next US Ambassador to India. Gore, one of Donald Trump’s closest aides, has now become the new face of Washington’s diplomacy in New Delhi. Who is Sergio Gore?
Sergio Gore has been a longtime Republican strategist, fundraiser and close political ally of Donald Trump. In August, Donald Trump nominated him to be the US Ambassador to India and Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs. Prior to his nomination, Sergio Gore served as Director of Presidential Personnel in the Donald Trump administration and played a key role in the US presidential campaign and transition teams.
