There is a meeting today (Thursday) of leaders of different parties regarding the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. There is a meeting of JDU at the CM residence located at 1 Anne Marg from 10 am. All the party leaders including CM Nitish Kumar will be present. There will be brainstorming on the names of the candidates. Seat sharing will also be discussed.

Chirag Paswan had gone to Delhi last Wednesday amid the ongoing tussle over seat sharing in NDA. Meanwhile, there is an emergency meeting of LJP (Ram Vilas) in Patna today. This meeting is at the party office in Patna from 10 am. MP Arun Bharti, who has been made in-charge for Bihar elections, will preside over this emergency meeting. All the prominent leaders of the party will be present, assembly elections and current situation will be discussed.

Chirag and Manjhi are asking for more seats

There has been no seat distribution in NDA. Chirag and Jitan Ram Manjhi are demanding more seats. Due to demand, the formula for seat sharing is not being decided. Chirag is asking for 36 to 40 seats. Manjhi is staking claim on 15 seats. On the other hand, amid the discussion about seat sharing, calls from BJP leaders have started going off. BJP quota minister and MLA Raju Singh will file nomination on October 14. He is MLA from Sahebganj.

On the other hand, the seat sharing formula in the Grand Alliance is almost final. It is possible that an announcement will be made in a day or two. According to sources, RJD 118, Congress 55, VIP 35, JMM 2, Paras 3 and Left parties can get 30 seats.

Today Congress will issue a charge sheet regarding the functioning of the NDA government in Bihar. Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel and Jairam Ramesh will hold a press conference at the state Congress office at 2 pm.

On the other hand, Jan Suraj Party will release the first list of candidates today. Many surprising names may emerge. Jan Suraj will contest elections on all 243 assembly seats of Bihar. It remains to be seen which big face’s name the party brings forward in the first list.
