6 wickets fell at 102, then everyone was surprised by what Richa Ghosh did, India gave a target of 252 to South Africa


Batting first, the Indian team scored 251 runs against South Africa. Richa Ghosh became the savior of Team India, who broke the back of the South African bowlers by playing an unbeaten inning of 94 runs in difficult conditions. Half of the Indian team was out till the score of 100, from there Richa Ghosh played a fighting innings and took Team India to a huge score.

The Indian team had made a steady start in batting, as Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal had made an opening partnership of 55 runs. Mandhana was out after scoring 23 runs, after which the fall of wickets started. While India did not lose any wicket till 55 runs, within the next 47 runs the team lost 6 wickets. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s poor form continues, she could score only 9 runs. Jemimah Rodriguez couldn’t even open an account. Whereas in-form all-rounder Deepti Sharma also remained unbeaten after scoring 4 runs.

Richa Ghosh did wonders

Wicketkeeper batsman Richa Ghosh came to bat when the Indian team had lost 6 wickets with a score of 102. Richa along with Amanjot Kaur added 51 runs, but the Indian team was still far away from a big score. Meanwhile, Sneh Rana supported Richa Ghosh by hitting powerful shots. There was an important partnership of 88 runs between Richa and Sneh. Sneh Rana scored 33 runs in 24 balls, on the other hand Richa was out after scoring 94 runs, but got her name registered in history with golden letters.

The Indian team has won both its matches so far in the World Cup. First it defeated Sri Lanka by 59 runs and then Pakistan by 88 runs. Now Richa Ghosh’s historic innings had helped take the Indian team towards its third victory.
