A massive explosion occurred in Paglabhari village located in Maharana Pratap ward of Bhadarsa-Bharatkund Nagar Panchayat of Ayodhya on Thursday evening which shook the entire area. At around 7 pm, a house was turned into debris with a massive explosion. Five people including three children died in the accident.
Those who died include Ramkumar Gupta alias Parasnath (son Guru Prasad), Isha (10 years), Luv (7 years), Yash (5 years) which includes the three sons and daughters of Ramkumar Gupta and Ram Sajeevan resident of Jeevpur.
There was chaos all around after the incident. Villagers told that the sound of the explosion was so loud that even the walls of many nearby houses shook. The house was completely destroyed and only debris and smoke were visible all around.
As soon as the information was received, SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover, SP City Chakrapani Tripathi and CO Ayodhya along with police force reached the spot and started relief work. All five were pulled out from the debris and sent to the district hospital, where four were declared dead and one child died during treatment.
An accident happened last year also
The most painful thing is that a similar accident had happened to the same family last year also. Then there was an explosion in Ramkumar’s old house, in which his wife, mother and a child died. After that they built a new house but after a year the same scene was repeated. Now seven members of this family and a girl from the village have lost their lives.
In the initial investigation, police have expressed suspicion of cylinder blast. In which a burst cooker and cylinder have been recovered from the spot. But two similar accidents in two years have raised questions on the police investigation and working style of the system.
According to the villagers, Ramkumar was earlier into the business of firecrackers, and after the accident he had built another house and here too he probably did not leave his work. At present the forensic team is engaged in investigation, but the people of the village are in shock.
However, the big thing in the whole incident is that after the accident at 7 in the night, another explosion occurs at 11 in the night when the JCB team reached the spot and was working to remove the debris. There is news of one person getting injured during this period also.
