West Indies surprised everyone in the second test being played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After following on in the first innings, West Indies showed amazing spirit in the second innings. West Indies averted the danger of defeat by an innings and gave India a target of 121 runs. West Indies scored 390 runs in the second innings. The most important thing was that West Indies made a partnership of 79 runs for the last wicket.
After following on in the first innings and falling behind by 270 runs, West Indies performed strongly in the second innings. Everyone felt that the West Indies team would lose by an innings, but John Campbell’s 115 runs and captain Shai Hope’s 103 runs averted the danger of defeat by an innings. After this Justin Greaves scored a half-century. He made a partnership of 79 runs for the 10th wicket with Jayden Seals 32. Now India will have to score 121 runs to win the second test.
Kuldeep Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah took 3-3 wickets for India in the second innings. Whereas Mohammad Siraj got two successes. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar took one wicket each. However, the Indian bowlers had to work hard to take the last wicket.

India declared its first innings at 518 runs. After this, the first innings of West Indies started on the second day of the test. By the second session of the third day, West Indies’ first innings ended at 248 runs, then India decided to follow-on West Indies.
In the first innings, Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets, Ravindra Jadeja took 3 and Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj took 1-1 wicket. The way West Indies was batting, it seemed that India would win this test also by an innings. India had taken a lead of 270 runs in the first innings. Even after this, India has to bat in the second innings. The last time this happened was in November 2012. This happened only for the fourth time in the history of Indian cricket.
