Welding goggles! After Babar, now Rameez Raja lashed out at Noman Ali, audio of commentary went viral

Former Pakistan captain and commentator Rameez Raja is once again in the news on social media. After giving a controversial statement about Babar Azam on Sunday, now he made such a comment on spinner Noman Ali, which has enraged the fans. Another commentary clip of Rameez is going viral during the Pakistan vs South Africa second test match being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, in which he is seen making fun of Noman Ali’s attire.

Rameez’s taunt on Noman Ali

When Noman Ali came to bowl on the second day of the match, Rameez Raja said during the live commentary, “The fancy glasses that Noman Ali is wearing, they look exactly like welding glasses.”

Hearing this, the fellow commentators present in the commentary box also laughed, but this statement created an uproar on social media. Pakistan cricket fans accused Rameez of making fun of their own players and advised him to “behave seriously”.

Babar Azam was also taunted

This was the second consecutive day when Rameez Raja’s sarcastic comment went viral. Earlier, when Babar Azam was out LBW on the first day of the match and they decided to take DRS, Rameez Raja’s mic was on and he was heard saying, “It is out, drama will do.”

Although it was broadcast unintentionally, the clip spread on social media and fans called it “disrespectful.” Babar Azam is the star player of Pakistan team, and the fans considered such comments against him as a personal attack.

Great performance by Noman Ali

Despite the controversies, Noman Ali gave his answer with the ball on the field. He bowled brilliantly on the Lahore pitch and took 4 wickets. He shook South Africa’s top order and played an important role in restricting the team to 216 runs. On the other hand, South African batsman Tony de Jorji led his team by playing an unbeaten inning of 81 runs.
