Border Security Force (BSF) has given a great opportunity to the youth having sports talent. BSF has issued recruitment notification to fill the vacant posts of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota. The application process will start from 16 October 2025 and candidates will be able to apply online till 4 November 2025. To apply, you will have to fill the form by visiting the official website rectt.bsf.gov.in.
This BSF recruitment is special for those players who have performed at the national or international level in any recognized sport. Candidates who have represented their state or country in sports can apply. This recruitment is a great opportunity to honor the talented youth in sports and include them in the security forces.
What is the eligibility requirement?
As educational qualification for this post, the candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board. Also, the candidate will be selected on the basis of excellent performance in the sport in which he/she has represented.
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 18 years and maximum 23 years. That is, by August 1, 2025, the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 23 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given relaxation in upper age as per government rules.
Therefore physical fitness is also very important. The height of male candidates should be at least 170 centimeters and the height of female candidates should be at least 157 centimeters. For male candidates, the chest measurement has been fixed at 80 centimeters without expansion and 85 centimeters after expansion. These criteria will be checked during the selection process.
Selection will be like this
Candidates will be selected in several stages. First of all the players will be shortlisted on the basis of their sports performance and merit. After this the selected candidates will have to undergo document verification, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Candidates will be finally selected only after successfully completing all these stages.
This much application fee will have to be paid
The application fee for this recruitment has also been fixed. General and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 159, while the application for SC, ST and women candidates is free. That means reserved categories and women can apply without any fee.

After this, go to “Current Recruitment Openings” section on the home page and click on the link of BSF Constable GD Sports Quota 2025. Now register by filling the required information. After login, fill the remaining details, upload the required documents, deposit the fee and submit the application form. After successful completion of the application, do not forget to take its printout.
