Raghopur assembly seat is considered to be one of the hottest seats in Bihar assembly elections. Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is going to file nomination from this seat. Besides, it was also being speculated that Jan Suraj chief Prashant Kishore would also present his candidature from this seat. However, now Prashant Kishore has put an end to all the speculations. He has announced that he is not going to contest Bihar Assembly elections this time.
Prashant Kishore himself has informed that he will continue the work he is doing only for Jan Suraj Party. Chanchal Singh will be fielded from Raghopur seat.
‘Time will be wasted if I contest elections’- Prashant Kishore
Speaking to news agency PTI, Prashant Kishore said, “The party has decided that if I complete the work I already have, it will be enough. If I go to contest the elections, there will be a loss of 4-5 days. Due to this loss, many candidates of Jan Suraj may suffer. Therefore, for the interest of the party, I have been given the responsibility to continue doing the work I am doing.”

For information, let us tell you that Prashant Kishore had already decided that he will not contest elections from Raghopur in Vaishali district. Recently, he has given the symbol to Chanchal Singh for Raghopur seat, which made it clear that Tejashwi Yadav will not have a direct contest with Prashant Kishore. At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav will also file nomination from Raghopur seat today. He is going to contest elections from this seat for the third time.
In recent times, there was speculation that Tejashwi Yadav may contest elections this time from some other seat, possibly from Phulparas assembly seat in Madhubani district. However, later the equations changed.
