The first look of Malayalam cinema superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran’s new film ‘Chalifa’ has been released. In this action-thriller, he will be seen playing the role of a notorious gold smuggler named Aamir Ali. On the occasion of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday, the makers also released the teaser of this film on social media. Vaisakh is directing this film.
Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared a poster of this on his X timeline. In this post he wrote- An enmity that has been going on for generations will come to an end. ‘Khalifa – The Ruler’ will be released on next Onam, Aamir Ali will take his revenge.
The teaser of Khalifa has also been released on YouTube. It begins with the sound of a news bulletin, in which the news anchor says – ‘Police and customs officials have busted a multi-million dollar gold smuggling racket operating from the Middle East. It has been told that this racket is being run through the network of London, Nepal and Kerala.
Then a customs officer is seen interrogating an old man. He scares him and threatens to impose stringent laws on him with new sections. He says for whom the COFEPOSA Act was imposed. Then he takes the name of the biggest gold smuggler of South India. After this comes the entry of Prithviraj Sukumaran alias Aamir Ali. In this he is also seen doing explosive action. Some amazing stunts are also shown in it.
Prithviraj Sukumaran had completed the shooting of his part in the UK schedule of the film Khalifa in August this year. Khalifa was to start in 2022, but due to some reasons its first shooting could start only in 2025. It is being told that after UK, it will now be shot in Nepal also. ‘Chalifa’ will be released next year.
