In Pics: Rahul Gandhi became emotional after meeting Hariom Valmiki’s family, pictures surfaced

This meeting of Rahul Gandhi with Hariom Valmiki lasted for about half an hour. During this, he talked to the family members and expressed condolences on this tragic incident.

Rahul Gandhi said that this family is suffering and they are being harassed. Wherever Dalits are oppressed across the country, the Congress Party will fight for them.

The Rae Bareli MP said that Congress is not in the government at present, hence the help is limited. But, whatever is possible will be done. Rahul Gandhi demanded from the government that more assistance should be provided to the family and such atrocities should be stopped.

Shivakant Tiwari was also present during the meeting with Rahul Gandhi, it was he who raised this issue from the beginning and took the matter to the Congress leadership through several efforts including candle march.

On this meeting, the Congress Party said that a few days ago, Hariom ji, who belonged to the Dalit community, was brutally beaten to death and his family is going through immense pain and is hoping for justice.

Congress said that what happened to Hariom Valmiki is a grave crime against the Constitution of this country. Such petty ideology is a disgrace on the society. We will continue to fight against this injustice and oppression. This country will not run on Manuwad but on Baba Saheb’s Constitution.
