If seats remain vacant even after counseling in the session 2025-26 for B.El.Ed, M.Ed, B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed courses in the colleges affiliated to Lucknow University, then the facility of direct admission will be given on those vacant seats. This information was given by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Bhavana Mishra.
Dr. Mishra said that this admission will be valid only for those candidates who have participated in the centralized entrance examination of Lucknow University. He clarified that in the admission process, it will be mandatory for all the colleges to follow the rules and instructions prescribed by the university.
Why is direct entry being allowed?
The Registrar said that after counselling, some seats remain vacant in many colleges. This step has been taken to prevent academic loss of students and to start the session on time. The objective of the University is to ensure that every eligible student gets admission to the course.
For which students will the admission be valid?
Must have appeared in the centralized entrance examination. Must fulfill the prescribed qualification and eligibility criteria. This decision will also benefit those students who could not get a seat during counseling due to some reason, but have been successful in the entrance examination.

Dr. Mishra has instructed all the colleges to strictly follow the rules of the university in the admission process. There should be transparency in admission. There should not be any kind of discrimination in the selection of students. Verification of all necessary documents and eligibility proofs should be ensured. Apart from this, colleges will also have to keep in mind that the list of students taking direct admission should be sent to the university on time.
Easy and transparent process for students
The university also said that the process of direct admission will be simple and transparent. Students will not have to face any unnecessary hindrance. The information of the students taking admission will be entered in the online system of the university, so that there is no dispute of any kind in future.
