Australia defeated India by 7 wickets in the first ODI match. The Indian top order flopped miserably in this match. From Rohit Sharma to Virat Kohli and even captain Shubman Gill could not score big. After the match, Captain Gill himself admitted that the flop of the top order was one of the major reasons for Team India’s defeat. Now a picture has created a stir on social media, in which Gautam Gambhir is seen angry, while Captain Gill is standing silently like a child and listening to everything.

After the match ended, the Indian coaching staff came to the field. In the viral picture, Gautam Gambhir is saying something by showing his hand, Shubman Gill is standing silently. Bowling coach Morne Morkel and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak are standing near him.
People are making different claims on social media that Gautam Gambhir is angry with Shubman Gill. While one person said that Shubman Gill should understand that he is the captain of the Indian team in 2 formats and he has more power than Gambhir. This person said that despite having more power, Gill was standing in front of Gambhir like a child standing in front of a school principal.
Who did Shubman Gill hold responsible for the defeat?
After the match, captain Shubman Gill blamed the defeat on the flop of the top order. Apart from him, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also come in the top order. Kohli could not even open the account, Rohit Sharma was out after scoring only 8 runs and Shubman Gill was out after scoring 10 runs.
Shubman Gill said after the match, “When you lose 3 wickets in the powerplay, the situation is never easy. We will learn a lot from this defeat, but some positive things also happened. Even though we had scored 136 runs, we did not make the match till the end but we definitely made it close.”

Shubman Gill needs to realize that he is captain of team India in 2 formats right now & he is more powerful than Gautam Gambhir. After today’s game he was listening to Gambhir as if Gambhir is principle of school & Shubman is student.
