Became MLA for the first time in 2020
Mukesh Kumar Roshan contested the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections for the first time from Mahua seat on RJD ticket and won. Mukesh Roshan got 62,580 votes in the 2020 elections. He defeated JDU candidate Ashma Parveen. JDU’s Ashma Parveen got 48,893 votes.
RJD has again made Mukesh Roshan its candidate from Mahua seat in the 2025 assembly elections. That means he is again in the fray for the second time on RJD ticket. Lalu Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav had contested elections from this seat for the first time in 2015 and became MLA. In 2020, Mukesh Roshan was given the ticket. In 2020, Tej Pratap contested the elections from Hasanpur and won.
Political background of Mukesh Roshan
Mukesh Rashan’s uncle Vishnudev Rai was MLC from RJD from 2001 to 2006. His uncle has been contesting legislative elections from Raghopur. In 2020, he was preparing to contest the by-election, but due to the fear of losing votes, Lalu Yadav included him with him. Lalu thought that Rabri would lose in the 2000 by-election. That is, when he joined RJD, he left the seat for Rabri. Rabri won the by-election in 2000 from Raghopur.
In 2001, Mukesh Roshan’s uncle was made MLC by Lalu. Mukesh Roshan’s father – Late Ramdevan Rai was murdered in the year 1993. It was said that this murder took place due to political rivalry. The names of many state leaders came up in this murder. Many people have also been sentenced to life imprisonment in this case. Mukesh Roshan was about eight years old when his father was murdered.
