Amidst the Bihar Assembly elections (2025), on Tuesday (October 21, 2025), RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said that when Rashtriya Janata Dal released the list of its candidates, everyone saw that our party gave priority to women. Maximum 24 women have been given tickets. All castes and religions have been taken care of. The party has given tickets to the winning candidates. The party made the MLAs whose tickets were cut the first MLA. Gave everything. Gave respect. Will stand with them in future also.
The RJD leader said that in some places the MLAs of our party have also filed nominations, but the public votes for the party. Votes on Tejashwi Yadav’s face. Therefore we will say that we should talk about the interest of the party.
What did RJD say on JMM’s displeasure?
Mrityunjay Tiwari was talking to news agency ANI. On a question that JMM is angry, the party says that we were not given seats, it has also said that we will consider how to run the government in Jharkhand. On this, the RJD leader said, “Tejashwi Yadav has worked on the formula that respect should be given to everyone in the grand alliance, but the alliance has some compulsions of its own. All allies should understand this. RJD is the biggest force in Bihar and the big battle that is being fought in Bihar will strengthen the grand alliance in the entire country.”

Countering Chirag Paswan’s statement regarding friendly fight in the Grand Alliance, the RJD leader said, “Till now there was fighting in the NDA. What were Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha saying? Everyone was fighting in the NDA. If there are candidates from RJD and Congress on some seats, then there will be competition there.” Regarding the friendly fight, Mrityunjay Tiwari said, “NDA will not get any benefit from this. If there is a situation on some seats (with friendly fight), then at most NDA will win only 10 seats, Tejashwi Yadav will win the rest of the seats. All is well here.”
