The second test match between Pakistan and South Africa is being played in Rawalpindi. In this match, Pakistan’s first innings was limited to 333 runs. He dismissed 7 batsmen of Pakistan in this innings.
Captain Shan Masood contributed 87 runs, Saud Shakeel contributed 66 runs and Salman Agha also contributed 45 runs. Pakistan team was moving towards a big score, and at one time it had scored 316 runs after losing 5 wickets. When Pakistan’s score was 316 runs, Keshav Maharaj dismissed Salman Aga on the score of 45. In his very next over, he also dismissed set batsman Saud Shakeel, who was out after scoring 66 runs. After that he clean bowled Shaheen Afridi and Asif Afridi and got Sajid Khan caught by Aiden Markram.
Keshav Maharaj bowled 42.4 overs in the innings, in which he took 7 wickets for 102 runs. This is not the most wickets taken by Keshav in an innings, he had earlier achieved the feat of taking 7 wickets in an innings against Bangladesh in 2022 and 9 wickets in a Test innings against Sri Lanka in 2018. Till the time of writing this article, the South African team has scored 122 runs at the loss of two wickets in its first innings and is still behind by 212 runs in the first innings.
