Actually, Rohit Sharma was run out in that match, but Shubman Gill, standing at the non-striking end, did not run out. Rohit played 2 balls in this match and could not even open the account. While returning to the pavilion, Rohit was seen getting angry at Shubman Gill.
It was the second ball of the innings, on which Rohit Sharma hit a grounded shot towards mid-off. Rohit started running after hitting the ball, but seeing the ball going straight to the fielder, Gill did not move from his place. He also signaled Rohit to stop, but by then it was too late. However, in the first attempt the ball slipped from the fielder’s hands.

India won the match
Afghanistan team had scored 158 runs while playing first in that T20 match played in the year 2024. In that match, Rohit Sharma was run out without opening the account, Shubman Gill was also out after scoring 23 runs. Shivam Dubey’s bat was on fire in that match. Dubey had played an unbeaten inning of 60 runs in 40 balls. Whereas Jitesh Sharma had scored 31 runs in a stormy manner.
