In such a situation, let us tell you which fruits are not offered during Chhath Puja and which things should be avoided and why?

Cut fruits or peeled fruits are never offered during Chhath. In this the whole fruit is always used as prasad. This is because chopped or peeled fruits are considered impure whereas purity is very important in this fast.

Even black grapes are not offered during this fast because it is believed to be a Tamasic fruit. Besides, due to its colorful nature, its nature also seems to be Tamasic. During Chhath, we worship Sun God and this is exactly the opposite, hence it is not offered during the fast.

Even coconut without peel is not offered during Chhath fast. If coconut is used then it is done without peeling it.

Apart from this, you cannot keep cut apple or polished apple during this fast because it is not natural and is adulterated. In such a situation, it is not pure and is not offered because it is artificial.

No outside or foreign fruits like kiwi, avocado or strawberry are offered in Chhath Puja. This is because Chhath Puja is a symbol of the culture and faith of India and Bihar while foreign fruits are the opposite. Therefore, only fruits found here are offered in it.
