Gold-Silver Price Today on June 23: Today, a huge fall in the prices of gold and silver is being seen in the domestic futures market. Today the price of 24 carat pure gold per 10 grams is in the range of Rs 1,46,750 to Rs 1,47,980. What is the price of silver?
Today MCX Silver Futures have fallen by 2.8%, taking the prices to around Rs 2,27,735 to Rs 2,28,200 per kg. Today, in cities like Delhi and Chennai, silver is being sold at the price of Rs 2,45,000 to Rs 2,55,000 per kg.
Why did the prices of gold and silver fall?
Today, the main reason for the fall in gold and silver prices is the strengthening of the US Dollar Index (DXY), which has now reached its highest level in 13 months (102.2). Due to the strengthening of the dollar, it becomes expensive for foreign buyers to buy it, due to which its demand decreases and prices fall.
The stance of the US Fed regarding interest rates has also affected the prices of gold and silver today. Amidst the possibility of interest rates increasing in America, investors are withdrawing money from non-interest bearing assets like gold and silver and investing it in American bonds. Due to all this, selling in the international market has increased. In the global market (COMEX), spot gold has fallen by 1% to $ 4150 an ounce and spot silver has fallen by more than 2% to below $ 64 an ounce.
