Middle East Tensions: America’s US Central Command i.e. CENTOM has accepted the fact of firing missiles at Indian ships. The attack has been accepted by the US after a fire broke out in a ship with Indian crew near the coast of Oman.
CENTOM has admitted that it had fired two Hellfire missiles into the engine room of the ship. This is the third incident of attack on a ship with Indian crew in Oman this week.
What has the US Central Command said in its statement?
US Central Command (CENTCOM) took action against the Guinea-Bissau-flagged M/T Jalveer, US Central Command said in a posting on Twitter. He was trying to transport oil from Iran through the Gulf of Oman. Following repeated disobedience of US military instructions, a US aircraft fired two Hellfire missiles into the ship’s engine room.
According to CENTOM, since the blockade began on April 13, US Central Command has disabled nine ships that do not follow the rules. The course of 135 ships following the rules has been changed. 42 ships carrying humanitarian aid have been allowed to pass.

Here, Iran’s Mehr News Agency has said that five of the 20 crew members were rescued by ships passing by and taken to Oman.

India condemned the attack, summoned America’s CDA
At the same time, America’s suicide attacks have been condemned by India. The Foreign Ministry has termed this as very worrying. The ministry has demanded to stop these attacks immediately.
