Giant ‘Touska’ now in possession of US Marines
The US President claimed that the length of ‘Touska’ is about 900 feet and its weight is equal to an ‘aircraft carrier’. Trump wrote in his ‘Truth Social’ post, “Tausca is already under US Treasury sanctions due to its past illegal activities. It is now in our full possession and we are investigating what is aboard!” According to MarineTraffic.com, Tauska is a container ship that was sailing under the Iranian flag. Till a few hours ago its location was seen in the Arabian Gulf.
Iran’s counterattack
After this incident, Iran’s attitude has become tough. The spokesman of Iran’s military command center ‘Khatam al-Anbiya’ was quoted by the news agency ISNA as saying that the army of the Islamic Republic will soon give a befitting reply to this armed robbery. He has directly warned the American Army of dire consequences.
Clouds of crisis over peace talks
This incident has happened at a time when only a few days are left for the ceasefire between the two countries to end. This conflict has increased uncertainty over possible peace talks in Pakistan. Trump has confirmed that American negotiators are going to Islamabad on Monday. There has been no official confirmation from Iran regarding the talks yet. However, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said in an interview that we will not retreat in the field of diplomacy, but he also admitted that the differences between the two sides are very deep.
