Jantar Mantar Protest: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke has said that the movement going on at Jantar Mantar will proceed completely on the path of peace and non-violence. The CJP alleged that internet services have been shut down around the protest site and raised questions whether the government was once again preparing to take strict action against the movement.
At the same time, environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk has also sought assurance from the government not to use force and take legal action against the protesting students. He said that if he gets confidence, he will end his fast unto death.

Accused of internet shutdown at Jantar Mantar
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Wednesday alleged that internet services have been closed around Jantar Mantar. The party raised the question whether the government is preparing to take police action again on the movement. CJP founder Abhijit Deepke wrote on social media platform ‘X’, “Internet service has been stopped at Jantar Mantar. Is the government preparing another drastic action?”
Appeal to police and security forces to maintain peace
In another post, Abhijeet Deepke appealed to the police and paramilitary forces deployed at the protest site not to use force against the protesters. He said that do not follow orders to take action against innocent protesters and stand with the public. Deepke clearly said that this movement will move forward only on the path of peace and non-violence.
Protest continues for third day after ‘Sansad Chalo’ march
This statement has come at a time when the protesters are protesting at Jantar Mantar for the third consecutive day after the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march taken out on July 20. During the march, Delhi Police had lathicharged and also released tear gas shells to stop the protesters moving towards the Parliament.

Police and CJP face to face over use of force
CJP has alleged that the police used excessive force against the protesters. At the same time, Delhi Police says that the protesters had tried to break the security arrangements, after which action had to be taken.
Sonam Wangchuk said – If I get trust, I will break my fast today itself.
Meanwhile, environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk said on Wednesday that he will end his fast unto death if the central government assures that force will not be used again against the protesting students and no FIR or other punitive action will be taken against them. He said that he has lost about 11 kg of weight during the fast, but he now wants to return to his work.
