The good news is that now vegetarian capsules are also available in the market. These are made from substances obtained from plants, which are called HPMC. It is made entirely of plants and is considered a vegetarian alternative to gelatin capsules. But the problem is that this option is expensive, so most companies still use cheap gelatin capsules.
After this information, the question that comes to the minds of vegetarian people is how to recognize it, are they unknowingly corrupting their religion? What can you do in such a situation? Let us tell you that in India, there is a green round mark on vegetarian items and a brown or red round mark on non-vegetarian items, this rule also applies to medicines. Apart from this, if “Vegetarian Capsule” or “HPMC Capsule” is written in the information of the packet or medicine, then understand that it is vegetarian.
