Now the age to apply for this recruitment has been increased not to 21 years but to 18 years. On which recruitments will the new rule apply?
DSSSB has reduced the age limit for Primary Special Educator Teacher recruitment, earlier to apply for this post, the age of the candidate was required to be at least 21 years. Due to which younger candidates were not able to apply. So Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has now reduced this limit to 18 years. That means, candidates who have completed 18 years can also apply for this recruitment. However, this change will be issued only for recruitment with post code 44/26. Apart from this, the rules for other recruitments will remain the same as before.
Why was this decision taken?
In the official notice of DSSSB, it was told that this change has been made on the request of the Directorate of Education of Delhi Government. The Education Department had recommended the board to reduce the age limit. After this, the board has updated some rules and set a new age limit. Under this decision, the objective of the Commission is to give as many eligible candidates as possible the opportunity to become government teachers. Also, the board clearly said that only the age limit was changed, apart from this all the rules of recruitment will remain the same as before. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the notification once for complete information related to recruitment.

Those youth who have recently completed 18 years of age will benefit most from this extension of DSSSB. Earlier they had to wait till they turned 21, but now this will not happen. Eligible candidates can apply for recruitment.
How many posts will be recruited?
Like this recruitment, a total of 450 Primary Special Educator Teacher posts will be filled.
What is the qualification required for this recruitment?
To apply for this recruitment, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th from a recognized board, apart from this the candidate must have D.Ed. Must also have a recognized qualification in Special Education or RCI. Besides, it is also necessary to pass CTET primary level. The candidate must also have RCI registration. Only the candidates who fulfill all these conditions will be eligible to apply.
