Started career from All India Radio
Anoop Jalota was born on 29 July 1953 in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Anoop has inherited music. His father Purushottam Das was also a bhajan singer. He started his career from All India Radio. He made his debut in Bollywood with the song ‘Shirdi Ke Sai Baba’. It is said that late actor Manoj Kumar gave him his first break in the film world.

Relationship with 37 years younger actress Jasleen was in discussion
Anoop Jalota has left his mark on the small screen also. Between 2002 and 2005, he was the presenter of the serial named ‘Dharam Aur Hum’. Anoop Jalota participated in Bigg Boss 12 with 37 years younger actress Jasleen Matharu. Both of them were seen very close to each other in Bigg Boss house and after this, news of their affair also started coming.
This season of Bigg Boss was much talked about due to the relationship between Anoop Jalota and Jasleen Matharu. However, Anoop later said that he and Jasleen have no relationship. Anoop had told that Jasleen had been his student and she used to come to him to learn music.

Anup had made a big claim about Bigg Boss in an interview given to Lallantop. He called this show scripted. He had said that he and Jasleen did not have an affair. In fact, the makers had pressurized Jasleen to do so. According to Anup, the offer of Bigg Boss had come to Jasleen earlier and the makers wanted him to enter the show with Jasleen as a strange couple.
I am not a saint, I also drink alcohol
Being a bhajan singer, Anup’s image has been different among the people. However, once he created a ruckus by saying that he also drinks alcohol. According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Anup Jalota had said that he is not a saint and occasionally drinks alcohol. He had said, hey, let me have fun too, I am an ordinary person.
Were trolled for adopting Maulana’s look
Once Anoop Jalota also came under the target of people due to his looks. Actually, he had adopted the look of Maulana for one of his films. Her pictures in this look had gone viral on social media. He was seen wearing a cap and beard. After this, many of his fans became angry with him and trolled him fiercely.

Anoop Jalota married thrice

His first marriage was with Sonali Seth. However, they soon got divorced. His second marriage was with Beena Bhatia. This relationship also ended with divorce. After this he had his third marriage with Medha Jalota. However, Anoop’s wife Medha had died 12 years ago i.e. in the year 2012.
