Suvendu Adhikari had submitted his affidavit as the Nandigram candidate on March 30. In this affidavit, he has given information about his income in the last 5 financial years. Suvendu, candidate from Nandigram, said that in the financial year 2020-21, his income was Rs 8 lakh 13 thousand 170, whereas in the financial year 2021-22, his income was Rs 8 lakh 8 thousand 461.
How much property does Suvendu Adhikari own?
In the financial year 2022-23, Suvendu Adhikari’s income was Rs 8 lakh 78 thousand 400, while his income increased slightly in the financial year 2023-24. His income in that financial year was Rs 10 lakh 37 thousand 160. However, in the financial year 2024-25, the income of the current opposition leader of West Bengal Assembly increased significantly and his income became Rs 17 lakh 38 thousand 590. Suvendu Adhikari also disclosed the amount of his movable and immovable assets in the affidavit. He also mentioned investments in many fields including life insurance and mutual funds, in which overall, Suvendu’s movable assets are Rs 2457600.01, that is, he has movable assets worth Rs 24 lakh 57 thousand 600.
Opposition leader has neither a car nor jewellery.
Suvendu Adhikari told in his affidavit that he does not have any car. He also told that he does not have any jewelery or valuable property. Referring to immovable property, he said that he has a share in agricultural land in Egra and he also has 1.98 acres of land in Nandigram. Overall, he has 2.46 acres of agricultural land in his name. The agricultural land in Egra was inherited from the family and the agricultural land in Nandigram was donated to him. He told that the current price of that agricultural land in Egra is Rs 1 lakh 5 thousand and the price of the agricultural land in his name in Nandigram is Rs 8 lakh.
