Keeping security in mind, the Transport Department and Police Administration have started strict checking of pilgrimage routes. If any vehicle is not found to have a valid Green Card or Trip Card, it will not be allowed to enter the travel route under any circumstances.
Validity of documents: All documents like vehicle RC, driving license and insurance should be completely updated and valid during the journey.

Applicants can also apply online through the official website of Uttarakhand Transport Department. Along with this, Green Card and Trip Card can also be obtained by going to the nearest Divisional Transport Office (ARTO) and getting the vehicle inspected.
