According to trade website Saknilk, Cocktail 2 earned Rs 1.75 crore (net) in India on the second Monday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 84.90 crore. Its occupancy was 16.51% in 3873 shows. It is noteworthy that compared to 4.25 crores on the second Saturday and 4.40 crores on the second Sunday, there has been a decline in its earnings on the third Monday. Let us tell you that after earning Rs 70.50 crore in the first week, Cocktail 2 had collected Rs 4 crore on the second Friday.

Cocktail 2 has overtaken the lifetime collection of Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘O Romeo’, which starred Shahid and Trupti Dimri in the lead roles. That film had earned Rs 72.99 crore (net) in its lifetime in India. Now its target is to leave behind Shahid and Kriti’s 2024 film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film earned Rs 85.16 crore (net) in its lifetime in India. The film is currently in its second week, so it will be interesting to see whether it can maintain its hold till the weekend, because there may be a jump in its earnings on the weekend.

It is a spiritual sequel to Cocktail (2012), which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. This sequel stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. This film was released in theaters on 19 June.
