A soul-shattering incident has come to light from Jamia Nagar, Delhi. Here a serious case of taking a 23-year-old Dalit woman hostage, gang-raping her for several years and forcibly converting her to religion has come to light. Delhi Police has so far arrested four people in this case. The main accused has been identified as Faheem, who is already in jail in some other case. The police have started the legal process to bring him for questioning in this case.
Accused Faheem contacted the woman posing as a Hindu
On the complaint of the victim, an FIR has been registered in Jamia Nagar police station on 14 May 2026 under serious sections like rape, kidnapping, forced religious conversion and assault. According to the victim, in the year 2021, Faheem, posing as a Hindu by the name Sahil, contacted her on the social media platform Instagram. He described himself as a son of a very rich Hindu family. In March 2022, Faheem tricked the victim into a house and raped her. Faheem also made an objectionable video of him.
Faheem and his family raped the victim
After this, Faheel started blackmailing the victim continuously and threatening to post the video on social media. After a few days, he took the victim to Meerut and then he came to know that Sahil’s real name is Faheem. The woman alleges that Faheem, his father Khurshid and other family members raped her repeatedly. According to the victim, she was kept confined in the house and threatened to be killed if she tried to escape.
Marries a woman at gunpoint
The victim told in the FIR that on May 27, 2022, she was taken to a madrasa in Agwanpur at gunpoint and forcibly married, her name was changed to Ayesha. The woman’s Aadhar card information was also manipulated. According to the victim, Faheem’s father Khurshid used to bring blood-stained meat and force him to clean it, cut it and cook it. When the woman refused to do all this, the accused used to beat her.
Hindu woman converted
According to the Times of India report, the woman said, ‘He (the accused) told me that due to his criminal record, he cannot go out of India for Haj, so to go to heaven, he is marrying a Hindu woman and getting her converted.’ It has been said in the FIR that Faheem’s brother Azim once hung his 3-year-old daughter upside down from the ceiling to scare her.
Woman lodged complaint with the help of NGO
Faheem is a supplier of illegal weapons. The woman alleged that unknown men often came to her house to trade weapons and they also raped her. The victim said, ‘He (Faheem) was sent to jail again and again. When he was sent to jail in January 2025, I ran away with my three-year-old daughter to Ballabhgarh. There too he kept calling me continuously and threatening that he would find and kill me. In May this year, I had gone to Ballabhgarh police station with my daughter to commit suicide, but someone stopped me. He put me in touch with the NGO, after which I lodged a complaint with the police.
