- DRDO is developing India’s next generation Agni-6 missile.
- This missile is capable of hitting a distance of 8000-12000 km.
- Agni-6 can attack multiple targets simultaneously with MIRV technology.
- It can also be launched from submarines, which will increase India’s defense capability.
Drdo Agni 6 Missile: India is going to take a huge step towards making its defense system more impenetrable and strong. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is now fully geared up for the development of the country’s next generation deadliest missile, Agni-6. Military experts around the world are keeping an eye on this modern Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Now only the final green signal from the Government of India is awaited. This missile will take India’s security to a new dimension and will greatly strengthen India’s position in the global strategic balance.
Amazing firepower of Agni-6 missile
The biggest feature of Agni-6 missile is its incredible striking range, which puts it in the category of selected missiles in the world. The strike range of this missile has been estimated to be from 8,000 kilometers to 12,000 kilometers or even more. Having such a huge range simply means that India, sitting on its soil, can completely destroy any enemy base in any corner of the world in the blink of an eye. It will be much more advanced and powerful in terms of technology and range than the Agni-5 missile. The main objective of this missile is to provide strategic reach to India at the global level.
Which countries of the world will come under its influence?
The range of this powerful missile is so high that a large part of the world will easily come under its reach. Talking about the continent of Asia, the whole of China, Pakistan, Russia, Iran and all the countries of the Middle East will be within its direct reach. Apart from this, the entire European continent and the United Kingdom (UK) will also not be able to escape the lethal range of this missile. Not only this, this missile is fully capable of reaching the entire African continent and Australia and Oceania. Along with this, some parts of North America like Alaska and the far northern regions of Canada may also come under its range.

It is impossible for the enemy to escape from multiple warhead technology.
Another most lethal feature of Agni-6 missile is its MIRV i.e. Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicle technology. Through this modern technology, this missile can carry multiple nuclear weapons or warheads simultaneously. The biggest thing is that all these warheads can go into the air and attack different targets and targets simultaneously. Due to this, it will be completely impossible for any enemy missile defense system to intercept or track it in the air. Its ability to change course and accuracy will be so precise that there will be no chance of missing the target.
Dual power to attack from both land and water
To strategically make India Ajay, the idea is to develop this missile with dual launch capability. This means that the Agni-6 missile can be fired not only from mobile launchers on the ground, but the option of launching it from nuclear submarines hidden under the sea is also being worked on. With the development of this submarine-based capability, India’s ability to take nuclear retaliation will increase manifold. In case of war, even if the enemy country causes damage to India’s land bases, counterattack can be carried out through this missile from under the sea.
India’s increasing pace on hypersonic technology
DRDO is not stopping only on Agni-6, but is also working rapidly on hypersonic technology keeping in mind the defense needs of the country. India’s hypersonic glide missile program has now progressed a lot and its initial tests can be seen very soon. Along with this, work is also continuing on the construction of a very high-speed hypersonic cruise missile. This technology will give India the power to attack at extremely high speed while remaining completely invisible to any modern radar and air defense system of the enemy, which will make India’s military power at the forefront in the world.
India’s strategic position and strength of the nuclear triad
With the arrival of this new missile, India’s ‘Nuclear Triad’ i.e. the capability to launch nuclear attacks from land, water and air will become completely safe and strong. This missile will make India’s ‘No First Use’ policy more effective, because it will give a clear message to the enemy that attacking India will prove to be suicidal for them. In times of war, this missile will be especially capable of giving a strong response to any misadventure by neighbors like China and Pakistan and will keep the balance of power in South Asia completely in favor of India.
