DU UG Admission 2026: Today is a big day for lakhs of students waiting for admission in graduation in Delhi University. The university will release the first seat allotment list under the common seat allocation system today, July 16, at 5 pm. Candidates who have locked their registration and college course preferences on the CSAS portal. They will be able to see their allotted college and course by logging in to the official portal.

The admission process will also start with the release of the first list. This year, admission will be given on a total of 71,624 seats in 73 undergraduate programs in 69 colleges and departments in DU. According to the university, this time 2,08,043 candidates have locked their final preferences. In such a situation, there is competition between about three students for each seat.

First seat allotment list will be released today at 5:00 pm

Students who will get seats after the release of the first seat allotment list will have to accept their seats from 16th July to 18th July by 11:59 pm. Candidates who do not accept their seats within the stipulated time will be out of the CSAS counseling process. Along with this, the concerned colleges will do document verification from July 16 to July 20 at 4:59 pm. After completion of verification, candidates will have to deposit the online admission fee by 11:59 pm on 21st July. Provisional admission will be considered confirmed only after the fees are deposited. The second seat allotment list will be released on July 25.

  • To know their seat allotment status, candidates must first visit the official website of DU UG Admission Portal.
  • After this click on the Candidate Login option and enter your CUET UG 2026 application number and password.
  • After this, login by filling the security captcha.
  • After login, click on the link First Round Allotment Status present on the dashboard, where you will get complete information about the allotted college and course.
  • You can download this allotment details and keep it safe for future use.

What to do after getting a seat?

After the seat is allotted, the candidates will first have to choose the Accept Allocated Seat option. After this the concerned college will check the uploaded documents. If the college asks for any additional information or documents, candidates will have to regularly check their dashboard for updates. After verification of documents, online fees will have to be deposited, only then the admission process will be considered complete.

This time the registration record was broken

This year, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the students regarding admission in Delhi University. This time the highest number of registrations have been registered since the launch of the CSAS portal in 2022. A total of 2,73,751 candidates registered, out of which 2,18,284 completed the Phase 1 process and 2,80,043 candidates logged in their college and course preferences. This time admission will be given on a total of 71,624 graduation seats in the university. Apart from this, if we look at the registration figures, this time also the participation of girls was more than that of boys. Out of total 2,18,284 candidates, 1,20,509 i.e. about 55.5 percent applicants are women, while 44.8 percent applicants are men.
