Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have resigned from their posts after the case of alleged theft of offerings in Ram temple came to light. However, the relationship between the security agency appointed by the bank and the collection of funds is a new and important aspect. Even though the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have been accepted on July 6, but as per the trust rules, both will always remain trustees. They cannot be removed easily. This is a very important legal point. According to the police, eight people associated with the donation counting process of the temple have been arrested in this case and investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has sent a notice to the wife of Ram temple donation theft accused Lavkush Mishra on the alleged unauthorized construction of the house built in his name, while the police has intensified its investigation in the alleged embezzlement case. The administration is now preparing for bulldozer action on Lavkush Mishra’s house. Police and administration are actively preparing to take action against the property of main accused Lavkush Mishra.
A notice has been issued to Lavkush Mishra’s wife Sushma Mishra by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The wife of the accused is also now under police investigation. Out of the 8 people arrested in the Ram Temple offering theft case, 6 were employees of Varanasi based agency (Sainik Security Services, SSS). This agency was appointed by the Naya Ghat branch of SBI located in Ayodhya for security arrangements.

According to ADA sources, construction of this house is going on in Banveerpur village of Sohawal tehsil. He said that the land on which the house was built was purchased in the name of Supriya Mishra, wife of Luvkush Mishra and construction was done without taking necessary permission from the development authority. Police sources said investigators also searched Lavkush Mishra’s residence on Wednesday and interrogated his family members.
Meanwhile, police sources indicated that investigators may take strict legal action against accused Avinash Shukla, from whom the highest amount of cash has been recovered so far. According to police sources, during the investigation, Rs 20.39 lakh was recovered from Avinash Shukla, Rs 18.07 lakh from Karunesh Pandey, Rs 16.82 lakh from Anukalp Mishra, Rs 14.25 lakh from Lavkush Mishra, Rs 7.32 lakh from Ramashankar Mishra and Rs 1 lakh from Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinu.
