Afghanistan’s wicketkeeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a historic inning of 102 runs in the first ODI against India, he scored a century in 48 balls. He has become the fastest batsman to score the fastest century in One Day International for Afghanistan and has joined the giants in the overall list.
Afghanistan had to bat first after losing the toss in the first ODI being played in Dharamshala. Afghanistan had a bad start, with the first wicket falling in the form of Ibrahim Zadran (1) in the very second over. This was the first international wicket of Gurnoor Brar, who is playing his debut match. After this Sediqullah Atal returned to the pavilion on zero. Rahmat Shah Zurmate (3), who came at number four, was also out cheaply, after 3 wickets fell at 26, Rahmanullah Gurbaz took charge of the innings and played a brilliant innings.
Fastest ODI century for Afghanistan
Rahmanullah Gurbaz completed his century in 48 balls, becoming the fastest batsman to score a century in ODI for Afghanistan. He has come at 14th place in the overall list. At number one in this list is AB de Villiers, who scored a century in 31 balls in 2015.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz along with captain Hashmatullah Shahidi made a partnership of 116 runs for the fourth wicket and when he was out, Afghanistan was in a good position. When Gurbaz was out, the visiting team’s score was 142/4 in 15.3 overs.
Afghanistan scored 194 runs
Batting first, Afghanistan’s innings was reduced to 194 runs. After Gurbaz was out, Afghanistan scored only 52 runs in 56 balls, whereas when Gurbaz was playing, it seemed that Afghanistan would reach 230-240. Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey, playing their debut match for India, took 3 wickets each.
