Gold and Silver Price Today: Today, on Saturday, April 11, gold prices are again rising. Due to tensions in the Middle East, strong global demand and weak dollar, gold prices seem to be rising again. Today, gold prices rose for the second consecutive day and are moving towards the rise for the third consecutive week. Another reason for the increase in the price of gold in India is Akshaya Tritiya (which falls on 19 April), in which there is a trend of purchasing gold. According to IBJA (India Bullion and Jewelers Association) and selected jewelery brands, today’s gold rates are as follows:-

City 24 carat gold price (per gram) 22 carat gold price (per gram)
Delhi Rs 15,299 Rs 14,025
Mumbai Rs 15,284 Rs 14,010
Kolkata Rs 15,284 Rs 14,010
Chennai Rs 15,382 Rs 14,100

At the retail level, leading jewelers like Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Joyalukkas are today quoting the price of 22 carat gold between Rs 13,965 to Rs 14,065 per gram. This difference between today’s gold rates and showroom prices is due to inventory costs, local pricing strategies and operational factors, even though the latest gold rates in India remain broadly the same.

  • Price of 24 carat (999) gold – Rs 15,033 per gram
