Pat Cummins IPL Return Update: The latest update has come out regarding how long Pat Cummins will be able to play in IPL 2026. Cummins, the regular captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad team, can come to India on 17th April. He has to undergo another fitness test in Australia on Wednesday, if the report of which is correct, Cummins will fly to India.

Pat Cummins was with the SRH squad in the initial matches of IPL 2026, but went back to Australia for a fitness test. Let us tell you that Pat Cummins has been struggling with back problem since July last year. Due to this injury, he could not play even in the T20 World Cup 2026, although he made a comeback in the Ashes but was out of the entire series after playing one Test.

Will there be a comeback in SRH?

According to a report by Cricbuzz, Pat Cummins is going to get fitness clearance as well as NOC from the Cricket Australia Board. If the report of the fitness test to be conducted on Wednesday is correct then he can be seen playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad very soon. Hyderabad’s next match will be with Chennai Super Kings on 18 April.

Before the start of the season, Pat Cummins had said that he can probably play in the second half of IPL 2026. SRH’s bowling attack has been struggling without Cummins, but last Monday, Praful Hinge and Saqib Hussain, India’s two young fast bowlers, gave a tough blow to the table topper Rajasthan Royals. Both of them together took 8 wickets in the match. In such a situation, if Pat Cummins makes a comeback, then SRH’s bowling attack will definitely get strengthened.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently at fourth position in the points table, but its performance has been full of ups and downs. Under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan, Hyderabad team has been able to register only two wins in 5 matches.
